Shane from SSP

My name is Shane Beyer, I’m the Managing Director for SSP Catering.
What 3 words best describe DCB Developments?
I’d say the three words that most describe Christian, Dan, Phil and the team would be process oriented professionals.
What is it like to work with DCB Developments?
To work with DCB Developments, particularly over the last 3 years, it’s been a partnership I’d say. Every step of the way from the usual design of the locations to the handover, they’ve been there, side by side with us.
How does it make you feel being a client of DCB?
Working with DCB Developments, I really feel like they have our best interests at heart; particularly when working with a lot of other shopfitters over the years it feels like an order driven process, whereas with DCB, they will walk through the steps, they will make comments if there’s areas they feel aren’t necessarily in our best interest, and try to steer us in the right direction. So it actually feels like we’re a true partner.
What is it about the partnership with DCB that you value the most?
Looking at the partnerships I’ve had with DCB over the last 2-3 years, I think the most pivotal thing for me is the honesty and integrity; they will tell me if there’s risks in the project; they’re not be afraid to sugarcoat any potential over-expense and manage expectations which is something I always strive for. I need to manage the Board’s expectations, so I feel they have our best interest at heart. They won’t deliver only good news, but that’s fine. I feel like it’s a true partnership.
What makes you the happiest working with DCB?
I suppose how DCB worked with us is in the level of expectation I have, what I’ve been really impressed with is the quality of work that they’ve delivered consistently. On all occasions they also made my client extremely happy – to the point where the airport engaged them to do the work through my introduction.
