Cheeky Poke Garden City

Like all Cheeky Poke restaurants, it’s important that the fitout and finish of this new location reflect their reputation for super cool, relaxed dining. On this particular site, the outlook over the lagoon is a key feature, with visibility lines to this to be maximised. Their signature finishes of brass and blue were to feature prominently. In this regard we went to a great deal of trouble to find a contractor that could provide the rich blue epoxy floor the client desired, keeping it within their budget. It is one of the most striking features of the finished product.

Everywhere in this restaurant you can feel the attention to detail that DCB Developments bring – where a great deal of thought is given to junctions of finishes, and how best to integrate them into the overall aesthetic; with tiles blending seamlessly into brass edge details, and on into polished plaster. Coordinating the design, construction and installation of the salad bar and sashimi display with its curved glass, a key feature of the restaurant, was a huge task. The final result speaks for itself where the curved glass, brass and polished stone detailing combine as the centrepiece of the kitchen.
