Comuna Cantina

The location of the Comuna Cantina was within the open-air precinct of Pacific Fair’s Shopping Centre. DCB Developments in cooperation with Comuna Cantina wanted to feature a space with an outdoor feel and lively vibe.
DCB Developments were engaged to review the initial design to reduce the overall cost by 20% and provide a solution to cover 50 sqm of exposed outdoor seating. Working with the client and the Centre Retail Design Manager, the budget was reduced by thoroughly valuing all engineering aspects of the project. DCB Developments also managed the design, engineering, manufacturing and installation of a motorised retractable canvas awning solution for the project. Features also include 36 metres of a continuous bar top, with views towards the working kitchen, festoon lighting, high quality music system and a retractable patio roof providing a dynamic feel.
The project was completed in under 6 weeks from Centre approval, allowing the bar to open quickly and capture the pre Christmas trade.
